Seminar Content:

Day 1 will begin with a review of basic clicker training techniques and guidelines.  We will then introduce and practice foundation obedience exercises for Novice such as establishing heel position, recalls, impulse control & stationary work, fronts & finishes.  There will be a special focus on heelwork through heeling games and exercises.   

Day 2 will cover Open & Utility exercises.  We will break each exercise down into its smallest components.  Exercises may include the drop on recall, signals, retrieves, go-outs, jumping, scent discrimination…  

*Attendee requests and interest will determine which exercises we focus on for day 2.     

Fee information:  Auditing spots are still available

Fees for working spots are $160 for both days/FULL.  Fees for auditors are $80 for both days and $45 for one day.  No single day registrations for working spots. 

There will be a strict limit of 12 working spots and 8 auditors to insure plenty of individual attention. 

Light breakfast (donuts & bagels), snacks (fruit, chips, sweets), lunch (Pizza Hut on Saturday & Panera Bread on Sunday / vegetarian options will be provided) and beverages (pop, water, coffee, juice) are included in the fees.

Misc. info.:

Dogs and handlers in working spots may be at any level of training, but should be experienced and comfortable with clicker training.  Dogs should be under verbal control and capable of working off-lead in a controlled environment.  Any dog that is considered disruptive or aggressive (by the seminar presenters) must be removed from the seminar and no refund will be given.  Any dog that barks should be removed from the building when not working.
