Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are dog toys allowed in the park?
Yes! Balls, frisbees, tug toys are all great. Have fun. Please no rawhides or bones. These promote fights.

Are picnics allowed in the park?
No. This is an exercise park and not an eating park. Play and have fun with your dog. Pocket food for dogs and people is fine.

Can I bring pop, juice, water, coffee?
Yes. All of these are fine. Please dispose of litter in the proper containers. No alcoholic beverages.

Can I use the park in all kinds of weather?
Yes. The park will be open year round dawn to dusk except during mowing.

Are chairs allowed in the park?
No. This is an exercise park and not a sitting park. Walk, play, and interact with your dog. It's fun and it's good for you and your dog. An exception to this is if you are disabled, chairs are allowed.

Can we take a guest to the dog park?
You may take an adult guest or a child 12 yrs. old or older with you. A dog must be a member to enter the park. No dog guests.

I had a heart attack last year. What do you think about me and my dog joining the park?
Persons who have serious health problems such as heart disease, breathing problems, or walking problems should check with their doctor before joining. On entering the park, there is a fairly steep hill to get down to the main area. It could be dangerous coming back up the hill if you have a medical problem

Can I leave my dog on a leash in the park?
No. It is not safe. When other dogs are off lead, it can be dangerous for your dog to be on lead. Please remove the leash in the entrance area.

Do I need to carry a poop bag with me at all times?
Yes. You know if you don’t have one with you, your dog will certainly poop. Please pick up the poop which means you need to have the bag with you. There will be several dogipot receptacles, with poop bags, available. Feel free to pick up any orphaned poop!
